On Monday Beanstalk Base took part in the Year 2 Gymnastics Festival. We used trampolines, balance bars and followed trails of jumps as well as performing our gym sequence. It was a great morning, we were all very tired afterwards!

SNOW!
Need something to do on your snowy day?!
Go out and play in the snow but use your science forces skills that we've been learning about.
Use your push force to roll and make a snowman or snowball.
Is it easy to push snow? What makes it harder to push?
You can draw and label images of you in the snow showing the forces you're using.
We've been learning about counting on and back in 10s to help add and subtract 10,11 and 12 mentally. How about seeing how many snowballs you can make. Can you use them to help practice adding and subtracting. (try throwing some to subtract).
There are lots of website links on this page to look at when you're back indoors warming up.

History
Great Fire of London
We have been learning about the Great Fire of London. The children have become history detectives gathering evidence and trying to put clues together
to sequence the events of the fire. They had lots of questions to ask characters from the Fire of London.
This game might be useful in finding out more about the Fire of London. http://www.fireoflondon.org.uk/game
