We have a wonderful sport's day today.  Everyone showed great enthusiasm and super effort in all activities.

Creating our garden

This week we have been bust applying all the knowledge we have acquired over this half term about gardens to create our own Year 2 garden.  We have found out about how to care for plants, what plants can grow in this country and how to plan garden designs.

We look forward to watching our garden grow!

Working as landscape designer

As part of our topic 'What's in your garden?' we looked at what plan view is and how it is used by gardeners and landscape designers to plan how to create gardens.

We looked at the plans created for the Pre-School's new garden and compared them with the actual garden to see if we could interpret them.

 We then used our knowledge of garden design and plan view to create our own designs for the Year 2 garden we're planning on creating.  Look at the use of keys to help explain the plans.
